Dharamshala, June 13, 2026: India took a 1-0 lead in the three-match bilateral ODI series after cruising past Afghanistan by 7 wickets in a rain-affected, 25-over contest at the HPCA Stadium. Opting to field first, India overcame a roaring 102-run blitz from Afghan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz, bundling out the visitors for 194. Indian debutants Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey starred with the ball, picking up three wickets each. In reply, despite an early run-out mix-up with Rohit Sharma, Captain Shubman Gill anchoring the innings with a brilliant 84* alongside a rapid cameo from KL Rahul (39*) to seal the game with 13 balls to spare.
